Dr. Bill Brashier

Director -Scientific Operations

Dr. Brashier provides wise knowledge and understanding of clinical research, statistical methods and cell biology, which is a very unique combination amongst the medical professionals globally.

  • He is a qualified chest specialist with training in cell biology from the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College, London, UK.Prior to this assignment, Dr. Brashier was the Head of Academic Clinical and Cell Biology Research at one of the premier respiratory Research Institutesin XXXXX and the Chest Research Foundation in Pune, India. He was also the Principal Coordinating Investigator for Stem Cell Clinical Trials conducted under Regenetek Therapies, India. He also held position as Chairman of the Independent Ethic Committee Pune (IECP), which is registered with the Government of India and the Department of Health and Human Services, NIH, USA; and has been involved in ethical regulations of various international clinical and bioequivalence drug trials.
  • His Achievements while varied have been instrumental, here are some:
  • Every patient treated receives a treatment plan as per IRB approved protocols based upon the disease and complications they are experiencing.
  • He has been instrumental in procuring grants, initiating international research collaboration and directing high-level research in India.
  • He has been a mentor to various PhD and MD students in his country and globally.
  • He has single handily founded the Cell Biology Unit at the Chest Research Foundation, Pune, India.
  • He has been involved with Stem Cell Research with Regenetek Therapies India and has been involved in autologous stem cell separation and implantation in patients with neuro-degenerative diseases.
  • He is part of the consulting panels of leading pharmaceutical companies in India such as Cipla and Glenmark.
  • He has authored several book chapters especially on disease mechanisms of inflammatory diseases, and various publications in peer reviewed high impact Journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine.
  • He is also in the body of reviewers for various international scientific journals.
  • He has been implemental in training doctors on disease Mechanisms in India, Sri Lanka, Kenya and the Middle East.

His awards include:

  • The prestigious “European Respiratory fellowship” by European Respiratory Society at Stockholm.
  • The “Best Research Award” by the European Respiratory Society at Stockholm in 2007.
